High School Students

Today I was responsible for escorting 19 high acheiving high school students around to some of our Science programs.

The greenhouse area.

In the picture above you can see our aligator and turtle.

Above is a picture in the outside area where native California plants are on display.

This blowfish is in the aquatic area. I've been on the tour four times now. Every time people stop by, the fish hangs out next to the glass and seems excited to see people. It will follow anyone who is near the glass. Poor thing seems kind of lonely and very social.

Those are cool pictures. I especially like that picture of the frog. We just bought a puffer fish for our aquarium, but he's MUCH smaller. He's lucky to still be with us, because he ate one of our neon tetras upon his arrival. But I think that got the aggression out of his system as there have been no more fatalities.

That looks like fun. You usually get to relax and enjoy field trips with high achieving students.

Are the alligator and turtle friends?

I was even going to say that maybe the blowfish wanted to eat you and others who came to near. Maybe he is territorial???

You are making me want to go to the zoo. I can't wait for Micah to be old enough to enjoy trips out.
